Senator Hillary Clinton will soon wear the title of Secretary of State and retire her title of United States Senator from the State of New York. This scribe has frequently written in not so flattering prose relative to Hillary Clinton. However I do think she will make a formidable Secretary of State for our nation. Condlezza Rice could have been an exceptional Secretary of State but was hampered by the lack of intellect and conscience of George W. Bush. It is my sense that President Barack Obama will allow Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the lattitude to perform well above what most might expect. I think President Barack Obama has already committed to Hillary Clinton that her span of authority will be broad as long as she stays within the parameters set forth by President Obama. With the laundry list of issues growing daily Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will need a little luck to go along with the Presidents support.
