MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews has stated that he will not run as a Democrat to challenge incumbent Senator Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania. This is not a surprise to this scribe. Chris Matthews would have a difficult uphill climb to unseat Senator Arlen Specter. Senator Specter is a moderate Republican and is well liked by Politicans from both sides of the aisle. Chris Matthews has rubbed many people the wrong way on his MSNBC show Hardball. The one hope Chris Matthews would have had is if Senator Arlen Specter decided not to run for another term. Chris Matthews does wear thin on me and most likely many others. Chris Matthews should renegotiate his contract with MSNBC and be very happy to be doing what he is doing.
