The one trait that an Executive/President must have is the ability to instill confidence even when there is no way that should happen. The current resident of the Whitehouse, George W. Bush, is no where near capable of instilling confidence to the American people.

Bush says that the troubled American financial sysytem is basically sound. Yeah sure, if you believe this statement you still believe in Santa Claus. Each time I see George W. Bush at a podium I cringe at what he will say. The last thing I expect to hear from our "President", and I use the term loosely, is some sort of statement that would make me feel even a little confident in our current fiscal morass.

George W. Bush wants the Democratic Congress to "follow his example", and allow offshore oil drilling to increase domestic oil production. If memory serves correct the last time that Mr. Bush asked for ther Congress to follow his lead our nation was given the present of Iraq.

If the United States of America can get out of the current "funk" our economy will rebound. It is possible and it will happen. The caveat to this statement is that there will be a great deal more pain for the American public before things get better.

When and only when the real truth is told that our nation will need to recover from more than $10 trillion dollar loss to real estate and stock market value.
