George W. Bush had another of his glouriously dull news conferences today, July 15. George W. Bush appears to this scribe to be more than a little impatient to have his term as President end. Bush needs to return to Crawford, Texas at the earliest opportunity and ride his pick-up around his ranch. George W. Bush is a wind-shield cowboy and a total failure as President. Presidents ought to instill confidence in citizens when times are difficult, at least Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan did just that. George W. Bush does just the opposite. I always wonder just who is minding the store. If it is Dick Cheney, and it is, the American public should pray that we make it to January 20, 2009. Hindsight is 20-20 and it is obvious that George W. Bush came across as the "guy" that most americans wanted to have a beer with, precisely why he won in 2000 and 2004. Maybe we as americans should have had that beer with him and not elected him as President. (At least I never voted for him) George W. Bush is so lacking in intellect that I really do think he believes everything he says. Wow, that is dangerous. The current state of the American Economy is due to the lack of appropriate oversight going back to the Bill Clinton years and carried forward into this current administration. It will take a real leader , Barack Obama is the best opportunity, to take this wagon train through the storm of recession and hopefully not depression back to stability.
