Barack Obama continues to benefit from the endorsement of former North Carolina Senator and 2004 Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards. In addition to the endorsement of NARAL (National Womens Abortion Rights League) Barack Obama has picked up the endorsement of Super Delegates from California and Washington State.

Congressman Henry Waxman D, California and Congressman Jim McDermott D, Washington State cast their support to Barack Obama.

"I believe now is the time to unite behind Barack Obama so we can be in the strongest place possible to win in November," Congressman McDermott said.

Congressman Henry Waxman commented, " I have the greatest respect and admiration for Senator Clinton and former President Clinton, it is now clear however, that the Democrat Party is nearing a broad consensus on our nominee".

The question Senator Hillary Clinton will need to answer very soon is why is she continuing to campaign instead of joining with the broadening consensus to unanimously support Senator Barack Obama as the Democrat nominee for President?

The longer Senator Hillary Clinton waits to withdraw from the race the tougher the battle will be with John McCain.
